I'd say this wedding was definitely one for all record books. With Hurricane Matthew's arrival, everyone seemed to be a little on the nervous side, everyone that is except Rebecca! We arrived at her parent's house and everyone was going about their business as usual, hair and makeup, food, and lots of chatter about the weather. The football game was on, to my surprise, the ladies really seemed to enjoy that!! You would have never known that we were being bombarded by a Hurricane outside, unless you looked outside that is. I must say, with everything that went on, Rebecca was a CLASS ACT through the entire day, as you would expect if you know her. I'm blessed to know this sweet couple, and even more blessed to have been a part of their very special, very eventful day!

Everyone pulled together to make this day perfect! From the fairy lights to the cakes as well as the homemade jam made by Rebecca's mom as favors (personally my favorite)...I'm sure they couldn't have asked for a better day! They have endured a lot in their first month of marriage, but I know the Lord has blessed this marriage, and we should all be so lucky to have what they do! I hope you enjoyed the photos, we plan to take more this weekend to make up for not being able to during the hurricane. I'll post those as soon as we're finished.

Molly & Gregory Married <3 | Wilmington Wedding Photography| Wrightsville Manor Wedding

I met Molly a couple of years ago at a wedding that she was in, and she even referred me to another bride (her soon to be sister-in-law) before she was even engaged. Believe me, I sure was honored when she did that! With a heart as big as you can imagine, she finally got her prince charming in Gregory! Let's just say, There are Definitely 2 less FISH in the SEA! As a fisherman by trade and by hobby, Gregory was the perfect catch! They welcomed me in like family, and I couldn't be happier for them! Congratulations on your new life together, may many blessings be upon you both forever!

The staff at Wrightsville Manor, Knot Too Shabby Events, and MOI Catering were on top of things, as they usually are. But I have to give them serious props, a tropical storm and a wedding don't mix, everything was perfect! The professionalism was extraordinary down to the very last detail! 

A wonderful time was had by all, who knew we were having a tropical storm!! Rain or shine, friends and family celebrated their love and commitment to each other, and it was absolutely perfect!

Cherilyn & Rick's Brooklyn Arts Center Wedding|Wilmington Wedding Photography

Last year I had a Free wedding contest, Cherilyn and Rick won! The contest was for a 5 hour wedding and a particular number of photos. The contest was fun, I could see the outpouring of love these couples had from their friends and families! It was amazing, all the votes came in, people telling stories on the contest, truly something to cherish. Let me tell you, Cherilyn and Rick were definitely loved, I don't remember the amount votes they had, but I remember how much love came across my inbox! 

After meeting them, I could see why everyone was cheering them on. To know them is to love them! Their love radiated in our meeting, then we headed to the engagement session. I don't even think I gave them a pose, not once! They were themselves and that made my job super easy.

After everyone was ready, we set up for the "First Look" it's definitely a moment I won't soon forget. Sometimes emotions get away from us, and for sensitive people like myself, it was no stopping the flow of tears....in a happy way. I'm blessed to have been a small part in this day. I won't show you my ugly cry photo, but trust me, it's terrible! I think it was so powerful seeing Rick in his uniform, and just the whole logistics of the day brought me to tears. I'll miss them terribly! So thankful for Social Media to be able to keep in touch with everyone!

What a perfect day for such an amazing couple, the Brooklyn Arts Center never looked so grand with gorgeous decor and probably the closest family in history to fill it with a ton of love! Congratulations to Mr. and Mrs. Cross, we love you and hope your new life in San Diego is amazing! Thank you Rick for serving our country!
