Black & White Wedding| Mackenzie & William| Wedding Photography Wilmington

You don't take a photograph, you make it.

When words become unclear, I shall focus with photographs. When images become inadequate, I shall be content with silence.

There are always two people in every picture: the photographer and the viewer.

There are no rules for good photographs, there are only good photographs.

Landscape photography is the supreme test of the photographer - and often the supreme disappointment.

Sometimes I do get to places just when God's ready to have somebody click the shutter.

A good photograph is knowing where to stand.

There is nothing worse than a sharp image of a fuzzy concept.

A great photograph is one that fully expresses what one feels, in the deepest sense, about what is being photographed.

A photograph is usually looked at - seldom looked into.

-Ansel Adams

If you know me, you know I'd love to shoot a wedding in nothing but black and white. I loved Mackenzie and William's Wedding for so many reasons. First and foremost they were so in-love that even a stranger could see it. They were so laid back and just a pure pleasure to be around. With that being said, I wanted to share some of their wedding, my way...all black & white with some of my favorite photos of their day!

Liz & Adam First Look| Wilmington Wedding Photographer

Emotions are always high on a wedding day. Sometimes they can be all over the place, from anxious to excited and even nervous! I love to see the grooms reaction when he turns around, it's a true and genuine emotion. Although a lot of couple's are very traditional and think it's bad luck to see each other before the wedding, some choose to do it anyways. I like it because to me, it's not the same as seeing your bride with her dad and 150 onlookers....it's raw, and can get very emotional, which makes for a great moment captured and frozen in time! No one is around but the photographer and honestly, you forget I'm even there!! First Looks have always been my very favorite part of a wedding day. And most likely the ONLY time during the day the bride and groom get to be alone. I am a big fan of first looks, and as you can see, it's a moment they'll always treasure.

Kristi & Alex's Train Depot Wedding | Wedding Photography Wilmington

It finally happened! Kristi and Alex got married!!! WOHOOO! After meeting them while working over 3 years ago, I got the email….he finally popped the question. I always knew I’d be their photographer, I just pray I did their wedding justice. It was truly amazing and they are amazing people. They work so hard and they only deserve the best. The whole day was stunning, from the warm sun to the blue clouds and even the ending with a sprinkle of rain with the sparklers!! If you know Kristi and Alex, you know how perfect they are together. Please enjoy their wedding and feel free to leave a comment congratulating them!

Special Thanks to all of these amazing vendors who made this day possible!
