First looks are my absolute favorite part of the day. We were worried we wouldn't be able to do one because it was so cold, but Allison and Ryan decided to go for it. So happy they did, because it was such a heart warming moment. Their wedding blog will be up soon, but I wanted to share their first look with you.

You never know what will come from one single session. I've been lucky enough to shoot several times for this amazing family. Although there's a little bit of a language barrier, I never felt like I wasn't a part of this family. I cannot thank them enough for including me in so many big events in their lives, accepting me, even though I had to ask many people what was being said. I was hired around a year ago to photograph these two amazing people, their hearts are full of love for family and each other, and I'm beyond excited they chose me to capture this day.

Please Share a little about you and your company.

The Dressing Room was started in 2009, at the time of the economic decline and I wanted to help brides feel beautiful by not sacrificing style for budget. We are a unique business because we sell gowns off the rack but we have several that can be ordered. We also have a selection of gowns for full figured women. We carry a collection by Ida Torez and Tina Valerdi which are not carried in any stores in NC. Most prices range from $75 to around $800.

What is the one thing about yourself that most people do not know?

For me, it is more of a hobby than a job because I have a teaching job that I work at full time. All monies are reinvested in inventory.

What advice would you give to Brides?

Advice: Because we are all unique, there is a dress for everyone no matter your shape or size. Be patient and have an open mind and shop at a store where you feel catered to.
